Any country music fanatic is aware that the top country tunes are packed with emotion; songs can make you want to dance, or want to cry!

Country music is a result of joining together traditional and famous North American music style that was discovered in the southern United States and Canadian Maritimes and instantly developed in the start of 1920s. There are adaptations of the genre that appeared in other places including Australian country music.

It had been during the 1940s that the expression "country music" acquired popularity when the early expression "hillbilly music" was thought of as derogatory. In the southwestern United States, the "melting pot" culture has generated the tunes that became country and western songs. A lot of folks believe that when they hear old country music, its genesis was as a result of European-Americans. However there is a great deal of rhythm and melodic variation very similar to what was used by African Americans during the time of country music's beginnings.

Today's performers of country music developed their variations from older artists, regardless of whether it is traditional or modern day melody.
