The vent mount worked perfectly in my Honda Odyssey. My iPhone fit perfectly.
I drive for a living and I'm in and out of my car all day every day. This little sucker holds up to some major wear and tear. Bought this for my HTC Glacier as I use its GPS instead of my Garmin now (Google maps is just so much faster and more accurate) so I got this to use for that and I'm very happy with it. It's well built, feels really solid and not cheap at all.
It fits the Droid perfect, leaves space for power cord and exterior jack so I can place it on the holder and hear music and talk through the speakers. Kid loves it too as we can drive with it swiveled into the widescreen/horizontal position and watch movies with the speakers plugged into the car system.
Sturdy build, nice grip on the phone, dashboard disc mount, windshield mount, AND air vent mount all for a low price, that kind of thing. When I installed it in the car, I was even more pleased, as it rotated 90 degrees while still staying put during driving and going over bumps and stuff.
I chose to use the vent mounts in my 2007 Toyota Tundra. I did add 4 pieces of rubber tubing on the clips to make them more "grippy", since plastic on plastic tends to slide around. He says that's great but he wishes the suction cup was as good as this one. This mount is top quality very versatile. I couldn't get this to work for my life. I needed a vent mount so that it was closer to me and easier to see.
Inserting and removing the phone is very easy, which is important since you'll be doing that quite often! It's very simple to install, though be aware that there's only one windshield adhesive so you can't use the windshield mount in more than one car. We actually attached the adhesive disc to the side of the fridge, and are now able to use this as a holder for the phone while we're in the kitchen. It's a great way to keep an eye on your recipes. I wanted something that would hold my Droid, which has the hard case around it. This works great. If you want a window or dash mount, this product is perfectly fine.
It also holds my HTC Droid Incredible and my wife's Droid 2 perfectly.
It's still not perfect, but it's a very secure mount and worth $15 any day. Original review: When I received the mount, I was quite pleased.
