Extremely Pleased With Product - Crayola Digital Camera Critique

One common complaint - slow start-up time - can be easily fixed by following directions in the manual: Turn "PW on Start-up" to off, this will keep the camera from loading the logo and the camera is immediately ready for use. Another common complaint is the time it takes in order to shoot the next picture. What I love about it is that you can set the scene to whatever environment you are in. It also has a function that allows for shooting continuously. Maybe vendors other than Beach Camera are including the manual/software, or maybe we just got one boxed by someone having a bad day at the factory and it was accidentally omitted. Not sure, thought I'd warn others. None of the buttons do anything, pressing the zoom and shutter controls doesn't move the lens or take pictures, and it even has trouble turning off. I'm abroad for the next 3 weeks and now have no camera for field marine organism ID sessions and measurements, or for personal photos for that matter, and can't do a damn thing about it until I'm back in the States.

I bought this camera just for Kayaking. It takes quality photos and is very simple to use. If you want a great camera that captures action, this is not the camera for you. I hate to see what it looks like when taking underwater photos, especially when shooting objects in motion. Manual or computer panoramic mode is better. If someone is interested, I could send some pictures (outdoor or underwater). I also saw the same issue with poor focusing on anyone/anything moving. Rugged Design and feel Cons: Needing to hook up to a PC to "initialize" the camera I just bought this camera at best buy in Miami on vacation.

It's my second one and now, with the addition of high-def video, I really can't say anything negative about the Stylus Tough 6020 underwater video!

The screen is full of water. I am over it. I snorkeled several times for the whole week and it did not fail. So I opted to buy my own Olympus to use on my next trip to Mexico.

The only real complaint I have, is the mic for the video is behind the camera, sort of right where your finger would go when you hold it. So you're not going to get great audio at the thing you're aiming the camera at, since the mic is facing you. This is my 4th digital camera in the past 10 years. I am no fool.

This camera was for that trip, the beach and the pool. Unfortunately we took some pictures this summer in the pool.

Only caution I have is that the camera has limited capability in low light conditions. It's best to bring along a full size camera if you are shooting in low light or at least use a steady rest for the Stylus Tough.
